I have listed all the tour dates that are up so far for Miyavi's Tour this year.
I believe this is the final list of all the showings.
I hope you guys can make it to his concert :] He's a really amazing artist and
is so experimental with his work. Perhaps I'm being biased when I say this, but
if you're a fan of the guitar, you should see this guy play.
I'll be attending the House of Blues (Anaheim) show ^____^
Get your tickets ASAP O____o
I know for some, this might be a late notice, but I sure hope you guys (for the
later dates) get your tickets!
D: I haven't been to MT in a while and when I do come back I see this thread
that Shintata's site is done? I think you guys did a great job :] I didn't know
IM was up that long and I'm proud of you guys for having such a successful
site!
We all get busy and what not so it's understandable that you would sign-out.
I miss you guys a lot and hopefully we can keep in touch or something.
It's been a long time since I've been here, MiniTokyo, and I handed this group
over to someone else...hoping that it would be up and going while I was away.
I've turned into a lurker and I think the only thing that's keeping me here is
this group. So I will be doing updates occasionally to keep this place going.
Also, I will probably be changing up the look of this page and the featured
artist. I apologize to everyone for having that artist up for a while
now.
Okay, down to business.
I've put an update up on the page regarding Taste of Chaos Tour 2008. Please
check the page and read it.
Also, I am looking for more Admins...ones I can trust and are good with updating
this page. Please have some kind of background in design (preferably web
design...to fix up this page) as well as know your J-rock/punk etc... Remember,
Indie bands are fine as well as alternative bands. Just no J-pop here. There's
already a group for that.
Please keep in mind this is not just narrowed down to Visual Kei bands, this is
to all J-rock.
Please check the site and send me PMs on if you're interested in becoming an
Admin :] I'm looking forward to working with you guys!
Yoshiki and 4 Fini Surge Forward with Multi-Artist
Festival, May 25-26
SANTA MONICA, CA â Created by Japanese rock superstar Yoshiki of X
JAPAN, Jrock Revolution, the first multi-artist music festival in North America
to exclusively showcase Japanese rock music (Jrock for short) straight from
Japan, launches May 25 at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.
Jrock Revolution spawned as the brainchild of Yoshiki. With his ear for talent
and intent to please audiences, Yoshiki senses the desires of Jrock
fansâand the desire for new music by all music fans. As the mentor and
producer of globally successful Jrock bands such as Dir en grey, Yoshiki is also
responsible for introducing this pool of Japanese rock talent to an ever-growing
stateside audience.
Jrock Revolution will be managed by event production company 4 Fini, Inc., which
produces the popular Vans Warped and Rockstar Taste of Chaos festival tours.
When asked about Jrock Revolution, 4 Fini director Kevin Lyman replies:
"It's exciting to have 4 Fini involved with Jrock Revolution. We have
always tried to involve the company in cutting-edge projects and this is one of
them. With our past involvement working
with Dir en grey, we look forward to another successful event."
Once an underground commodity, Jrock is now a very real musical alternative for
audiences everywhere. Thanks to the accessibility provided by the Internet, it
has never been more popular than it is now. Flaunting pure musicality,
immaculate artistry, and a remarkable rapport with listeners, Japanese rock
artists have sparked international interest as they tour other countries, music
festivals, and culture conventions outside of Japan.
Jrock Revolution simultaneously reflects Jrockâs increased popularity
overseas, fulfills the dreams of existing fans, and creates a stylistically
diverse entry point for alternative concertgoers by presenting a smorgasbord of
the sceneâs hottest names in one place.
While this event may be the first of its kind, it certainly will not be the last
one seen in the U.S.
Tickets for Jrock Revolution will go on sale April 21st at 10 A.M. Information
and updates will be available at www.Jrockrevolution.com, the
festivalâs official Web site, or the MySpace page, www.myspace.com/jrrevolution.

I will not just pick up anybody to be an Admin or Mod. You will have to prove to
me somehow why you are fit for the part. To be an Admin, I would suggest you
know your stuff about bands and soloists that portray Rock, punk, indie
etc...
It would also be a plus if you knew how to do some coding so we can change the
different sections to update them. In addition to that being a plus, I would
appreciate it if you were good with composing images for our featured artists
(like collages that I have done for the previous featured artists).
...Once you become an Admin, it doesn't got give you the right to do things
without my permission. So please be considerate and present your ideas through
me first so I can approve them :] Thank you again.
Awesome :] I'm going to wait this out a couple of weeks to see if anyone else
wants to help out So
until then, I'm not going to promote anyone just yet ^____^ Your groups seem to
be, or at least look, up to date haha so yeah :]
To be honest, I don't go to MT that often anymore after a series of certain
inccidents. I know you guys are complaining about the long awaited layout change
and all the plans that we had for this group. I will announce now that I am
looking for Admins and Moderators to help out a little.
I will not just pick up anybody to be an Admin or Mod. You will have to prove to
me somehow why you are fit for the part. To be an Admin, I would suggest you
know your stuff about bands and soloists that portray Rock, punk, indie etc...
We will absolutely not discuss genres such as J-pop and such because there is
another group for that.
This group is meant to open up new artists to everyone and discuss about them
and educate everyone about what everything means.
It would also be a plus if you knew how to do some coding so we can change the
different sections to update them. In addition to that being a plus, I would
appreciate it if you were good with composing images for our featured artists
(like collages that I have done for the previous featured artists).
I've yet to give out more detail. So if you are willing to try out for these
parts, please say so here and I will take some consideration into whom or who
will be promoted :]
Thank you for your time.

I will come back to MT to just update this group. Once you become an Admin, it

Thank you again.
Sorry for the long update. There were actually a lot of events that I had wanted
to tell you guys about, but I became busy over my break since I've got such a
short amount of time before I start college (you guys are like "Damn!
Pandie's a college n00b")
Anyway, I'm sorry to say so late, but The Pillows had two concerts here in
California for the 27th (Whiskey a Go Go, Hollywood) and 28th (Shuraba? San
Francisco). I'm proud and lucky to say that I went to the concert on the 27th at
Whiskey a Go Go :]
My group was very lucky and we got to be in the front, so close you can touch
their feet. We were right in front of Jun Suzuki (the supporting memeber and
bassist of The Pillows). Although he's not officially apart of The Pillows, it
was still an honor to be standing right in front of him :] It was an awesome
experience. They played 15 songs and three encore songs (I saw the playlist that
Jun put on the floor for him to know what songs to play).
Enough about The Pillows, on to more updates.
July 1: Mana (yes, Mana from Malice
Mizer/Moi Dix Mois) has a focus panel at 2:30-3:30 (damn! It's during the CLAMP
focus panel!) July 2: Anime Expo (in California) is
going to have Lemon Drop kick play at 6 pm. July 2: Hyde has a show at the House of
Blues (Anahiem) at 7 July 2: Moi Dix Mois The Grove of
Anaheim, Anaheim, CA July 3: Hyde has a show at the House of
Blues (Hollywood) at 7:30 July 5: Moi Dix Mois The Lakewood
Theater, Dallas, TX July 6: Hyde has a show at Filmore-CA at
9 July 7: Moi Dix Mois TBA, New York City,
NY July 9: Moi Dix Mois TBA, Chicago, IL July 12: Moi Dix Mois TBA, Seattle,
WA
This is all that I know of so far. :] Hope you guys can go to the concerts! I
warn you, Hyde tickets can be really expensive....

A couple of days ago, I got a message on my Myspace asking me to check out this
one band. It's a female-fronted band, meaning the girl is important and center
of attention :]
Anyway, I really like their sound and I thought I'd share this band with you.
They're local to some of us who live in California.
Here's their Myspace page, you can sample their music as well. I'm planning on
going to one of their concerts in October to meet them :]
If you would like to have things put up in the gallery, please do not leave links in the guestbook anymore
because I don't check the guestbook that often. Instead, please PM me your links and I'll put it in the
gallery. It makes me put stuff in the gallery that way :]
If you have any links that you would like to share with the group for
downloading music or something, leave the link in the guestbook as well as PMing
me with the link so I'll put it up in some section :]
Thank you all for your participation! I've been such a bad admin and my fellow
admins have been quite busy I guess O_o If you guys have any suggestion for the
next featured artist, please suggest them here :]
I've been contemplating on if I should have maybe you guys write the article
this time Perhaps when we chose a featured artist, people can volunteer to
type up the article and if you guys want to add on, PM me with the stuff you
want to add.
Sound good guys? I hope you guys are looking forward to this!

cheat the system and only wear the retainer at night No need
to wear it all day when you eat a lot (I'm not a fatty)
Btw, I had the metal braces, not invisiline. You may complain about them now,
but like...you'll be happy once you get them off :]
I didn't even need braces that much. I was originally supposed to have braces
for 1 year, but they said to keep it on another year "just in case".
Geez! Apparently Avalon "never booked Dir en Grey" I'm so pissed off!
!#@$%$# Avalon Hollywood! So today was the day for tix to be on sale but since
Avalon "never booked Dir en Grey" there were no tickets!
I sent a complaint to the person in charge of booking lives and I'm expecting an
explaination for everything.
8 more days until the Anaheim concert! <3 I really can't wait to see him!
I'm terribly sorry for those who couldn't get tickets in time
@marmaladeboyfan: I thought for sure he was going to have one in NY, but I guess he's only doing it in California

My cousin just got presale tix today for us :] I'm going to see Dir en Grey in LA!
There was a high demand for Deg <3 so they moved places :] Tickets on sale on Sat.
BAhhh this is their first AMERICAN tour! Of course I'm not missing this! Plus I figured out what the problem was. It's not at Avalon!
Geez! Apparently Avalon "never booked Dir en Grey" I'm so pissed off! !#@$%$# Avalon Hollywood! So today was the day for tix to be on sale but since Avalon "never booked Dir en Grey" there were no tickets!
I sent a complaint to the person in charge of booking lives and I'm expecting an explaination for everything.
OMFG Dir en Grey's first American Tour is only in THREE STATES!
