If you guys want a certain group/artist to be featured, please give a helping
hand to the group and do a little bio short on them (as I described at the top
about featured artists).
I'm very busy and I don't have time to check this that often, so if you guys
would be kind as to have some group participation, that'd be very nice and
helpful to me <3
Hey guys! I know it's been forever since I have been here, but whoever I put in
charge wasn't really taking care of the group as great as I hoped I hope
you guys aren't too mad! Please come back! I
promise I'll update and what not.
How do you guys like the new layout? There are some problems in there, but I
sure hope to fix them I
hope you guys read the announcement as well. I'm looking for more
Admins/mods!
I've also made an update on Taste of Chaos Tour :]
I went to an Ellegarden concert in LA like...three weeks ago! I saw S.K.I.N
at Anime Expo (S.K.I.N is Yoshiki's band, consisting of Gackt, Miyavi, Sugizo
and himself)
Does anyone know about Anna Tsuchiya, she's a relatively new J-rock artist but I
love her!

Hi guys
Does anyone know about Anna Tsuchiya, she's a relatively new J-rock artist but I
love her!
Of course! I wouldn't necessarily call her "J-rock". Hahah...she's
more of alternative, but we can discuss that here too :]
I think she's got a lot of different styles, more on the "rock" side.
She does some American covers and adds her own style to it. I really like them
as well. She has a few good songs (I like more of the rock ones and some of her
pop/ballads). Her voice is...different you can say. It sounds like she's losing
her voice haha but it works for the style she's going for.
I first found out about her and Olivia Lufkin from NANA.
They are like...the main musicians for that Anime and I think they play off the
two bands really well :]
@Link killer
Ahhh that sucks that you didn't get it in time. It's coming up in a week and I
can't wait @___@
To LinkKller: This group is not just for hard rock. It's for all kinds of rock.
It's not just for mainstream artists. We're doing the featured artist to educate
everyone about new artists. Having a mainstream artist like Dir en Grey totally
defeats the whole purpose of exposing new artists and educating everyone on new
music.
This group was meant to give each other new music and tell each other about
bands or solo artists that pertain to Japanese Rock, Alternative, Punk etc...
Jrock is not necessarily all about Visual Kei bands. This group is to expand
everyone's mind about music.
Please keep an open mind everyone :] We're not limited to bands and artists like
Dir en Grey. They may be featured one day, but totally defeats the whole purpose
to put up bands that everyone knows about.
Ahhh Sorry to not come that often. I have been swamped with a lot of projects. I
have put Eimin in charge of the group. I will come back once in a while to check
up and perhaps update this group but for now, I have finals and projects to do
>___<
I thank you all for cooperating :] Please try your best to keep this group
productive!
Greetings from your horrible Admin ;_____; I've been busy lately and kinda left
MT for a bit haha ^^; Sorry to leave without any notice. I'm trying to do some
changes here and please, PLEASE respond to the announcement :] I would
appreciate as much help as possible.
Oy! Everyone! Take advantage of this and get FREE MUSIC!
Everyone loves free stuff, so go on and get it and give your opinions on what
you think of them!
Dir en Grey came to LA :] I got to see them, but I didn't get a close look
because the people that were supposed to take me didn't go early enough. I was
kind of disappointed. Shinya was throwing his drum sticks into the pit and Kaoru
and Die were throwing out picks I envy
the people in the pit.
All in all it was a great show.
I don't mind if you post up topics, however, if you want, I can post them in
announcements. Changing topics too quickly doesn't give people time to answer.
Quote by jrockerAyaneI really like
HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR right now. I like Malice Mizer too, Mana and Kozi are so
awesome!
H&MC is a really great band. They have an interesting mix of rock, rap, and
pop...or something like that. I really love her voice. Man, to think she's only
18 O_o That's crazy! I've become a big fan of theirs and I'm very fond of their
music, but it took me a while to get used to the guy's rapping lol
Alright kiddies :] Thank you for being so patient and stuff. I think I have some
time to bring this place back up. I want to welcome all new members to this
group of ours *applause* I'm really sorry for not changing your group status
earlier ;___; Man, some were from a month ago! Bad bad bad Pandie.
I'll be contemplating on who to put up next for featured artist as well :] Post
your suggestions in the announcements!
EDIT
koreanfushion, before I checked out your userpage, I thought to myself
"That person sounds like an uber fan-girl" and then I checked your
page and thought "Wow, this person is an uber fan-girl". Hahah and a young one that is. I was
like that too, sorta, hahah I grew out of that and now I appreciate their sound
more than thinking of scenarios like those
alskdjflasjf I fear that if this group doesn't come back to life, I might do
what eunie did as well
I find that no one really participates in here anymore and I haven't quite been
active in MT for some time. So really, I don't have a say on anything
Ahahah I'm sorry, but I have another question (yeah, I'm sure you guys are sick
of me asking questions by now) but am I allowed to submit a collaboration to the
contest? The thing is, the person who did the original sketch does not go to MT,
she's on DA. So I'm wondering if I can submit a collaboration I did with her (I
did the lineart and coloring, she just did the sketch). Is it okay or do I have
to absolutely draw everying (which I can, just that I'm on a huge artrist
block)?
:] I understand if you guys don't accept that kind of collaboration! Thank you
for reading this!
-Pandie
EDIT:
Okay, I know you guys accept collaborations, however, my questions is if I can
submit a collaboration that's with a person that's not from MT. Also, you guys
said that a collaboration can be submitted, but the original sketch should be
put in the sketch part of the contest. I wouldn't have to do that right? It's
not my drawing so yeah
Ahh okay. Thank you for answering! That's just what I thought, but I was just
curious as to if we could submit our own original ideas :]
Oh yes, one more thing I'd like to ask: Should fanart (where you just copy the
image and not produce your own poses etc..) be considered your own artwork even
though it's not original?
I was just curious as to if we only had to submit doujinshi or if we can just
submit any art of ours (excluding wallpapers)? This is for the artist of the
month btw. For example, I have an image that I recently submitted and it's not
doujinshi, but it is my original work/concept for a surreal piece. It's done in
Illustrator (vectored images). I was just curious if I could submit that for the
contest or not. It's a j/w question so yeah :]
February 23, 2006
So a topic came up about how those who "aren't talented" (meaning they
don't get a lot of credits) use their free download quota just to check the
quality of the images (like scans) and it wastes them.
Do you guys believe that that is a problem? At first I didn't really, but then I
thought about it, and I submit things so I have credits. Then when you think
about the others who come here for scans and don't submit anything, it's hard
for them just to check the quality of things.
I know that that fdq is there to limit things, but do you guys thinks it's too
little? It went from 30 to 5. But then again, the whole point of the credit
system was to make people participate more, right? So that they would do more
than just download. Something like work to get benifits.
So my question is: Is it really MT's fault for having small fdq or is it the
person's fault for not submitting anything? It's not whether you have talent or
not, you can also earn credits by submitting scans. You can also find stuff else
where, where you don't have to use credits.
But you can't really blame people for complaining about the fdq being too little
can you?
If you guys want a certain group/artist to be featured, please give a helping hand to the group and do a little bio short on them (as I described at the top about featured artists).

Sooo...I'm still waiting for Advent Children to be released in Gamestop ;__; Pushed back to April 25
Jpopsuki is a forum. You have to register if you want to use the bittorrent there.
Again, I do apologize for being inactive ;___;
I think if you have something to add to the group, just PM me instead.
